TECHNICAL - KNOW HOW

Scientist from Aerospace Engineering have been involved in the design development of our FRP fans. Prof. A. K. Rao, who has been a technical consultant to Lockheed of U.S.A alongwith his group from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, is behind our successful FRP fans. CAD methods' are used for our fan designs.

UPTO 30% POWER SAVING

Due to high aerodynamic efficiency, our fans consume less power when compared to the conventional fans. Some of our esteemed clients have evaluated the performance of our fans. COOLING TOWER APPLICATION

Our variable pitch fans are specially designed to meet the severe environmental conditions and continuous exposure to heat and water in cooling towers. Our latest design of 24 (7.315 meters) Dia. FRP (Fibreglass Reinforced Plastics) fans are in continuous service since August 1981. Epoxy resins have been preferred for higher strength, higher heat resistance and greater chemical resistance with lower water absorption and hence our fibreglass blades are reinforced with epoxy.

CORROSION RESISTANCE

With FRP materials, the problems of corrosion are minimised. Expensive protective coatings or surface treatments are not required for our blades due to their superior corrosion resistance. This ensures years of trouble free service in severely contaminated areas. For corrosion protection of hub, we galvanise the steel. The hardware is all of S.S.304 and hence is not prone to corrosion. The hub spool and blade clamps are of cast iron and are unaffected by corrosive environment.

AND TOUGH

Our fan blades are made out of FRP material with a unique moulding technique. These blades are hollow in construction and hence light in weight. At the same time, they are exceptionally tough and fatigue resistant. FRP ha as very high strength to weight ratio when compared to conventional material like aluminium and steel.

BALANCING

The hub alignments are either statically or dynamically balanced depending on the requirement of the customer. The fan blades and the hub are independently balanced to ensure vibration-free continuous operation.

Taper Bush: SS to AISI 304
Hub Body: Galvanised mild steel

Erosion Resistance

The erosion of the leading edge of the fan blades is most common even in our domestic ceiling fans. In cooling towers, since the fans handle humid air with a lot of water droplets, erosion is much more severe and causes pitting of the leading edge of the fan blades resulting in loss of efficiency. Recondo fans have an extra leading edge on each blade to deflect the water droplets in the air stream handled by the fan.
